> That didn't really make any sense. I'm guessing you meant to say something like, "When renaming a custom field VALUE, the name of the associated channel changes".

Yes that's what I meant.

>Hmm. It may be true that a channel's "display name" is not updated when you change the category value through the custom fields editor.

>Is that what you mean?

I checked the channels display and yes the display name was unchanged. So I originally had a channel called Linux then I changed the value from the custom field to UnixOS. In the channels the name changed to UnixOS but the display name remained Linux.

Sorry XXX was a placeholder in the notepad version - nothing over 18 :) I meant  <!--#weblog.item.channels-->

> Right. Here's the whole process

Got it.

>Could you explain how you think they're broken? What problem did you have?

I was trying to list say all messages in the Development channel in April 2005 using this URL

http://www.mindspill.org/index/channel/Development/2005/04

What happens is that all messages from 30th April 2005 till the first post in the channel are displayed, so it keeps going back it doesn't stop on 1st April 2005.

> Could you clarify that question? I'm not sure what you mean by the "monthly archive list."

In my page (http://www.mindspill.org) in the main left hand navigation I've got a box "Archive" that's what I meant with the monthly archive list.
