Weblog II pages now ping weblogs.com when an item is added.
weblogs.com is a web service that tracks changes to weblogs. By itself, it's not incredibly useful, but there are a number of other sites/services that track the changes list they produce, so this was worth doing.
Eventually, you'll be able to specify other servers to be updated, instead of (or in addition to) weblogs.com.

IMPORTANT:
If you don't want to notify weblogs.com when your weblog has been updated, you can shut it off in the structure editor. Edit your page's properties, click the "Various" tab, and look for the Yes/No pref named "Ping Weblog-Updates Server?"
